  • Copiague library cardholders can access over 7,300 newspapers and magazines from around the world using PressReader.
  • PressReader provides:
    • Access to popular U.S. newspapers including the Boston Herald,  Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Enquirer, and San Francisco Examiner.
      • New York periodicals include NY Post, NY Daily News, and New York Magazine.
    • Popular magazines include Newsweek, Variety, Popular Science, Smithsonian, Rolling Stone, and many more.
    • Periodicals from over 127 countries in their native languages.
    • Access to 90 days of back issues.
    • Translate articles into different languages while reading a publication.
    • Share articles via email or print articles in PDF format.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the PressReader logo above.
  2. Sign in with your last name and valid Copiague Library card number.
    • If your card is expired it will give an error message – please contact the Circulation Department to renew.
  3. Upon signing in you will see a “complementary access” countdown – this is the duration of your PressReader browsing session.
    • When the session expires you need to log in again.
  4. Select a publication and issue to begin reading.
    • There is no limit to how many publications you may read.

Using the PressReader App:

  1. First you will need to create an account on PressReader in a web browser:
    • Click on the PressReader logo above.
    • Sign in with your last name and valid Copiague Library card number.
      • If your card is expired it will give an error message – please contact the Circulation Department to renew.
  2. Click  “Sign In” button → Click “New User? Sign up now.”
  3. Enter an email address and password (this will be your login for the PressReader account) → Then click “Create My Account.”
  4. Open the PressReader App on your device.
    • It can be downloaded from the App Store on iPhone/iPads or Play Store on Android devices or Appstore on Kindle Fires.
  5. Tap “Accounts” → “Sign In” → Enter the email and password you used in Step 3.
  6. You are now ready to read newspapers and magazines!
    • There is no limit to how many publications you may read.
