Kindergarten Registration Library Card Check List

Children can obtain a Library card at any age.  Child’s parent or guardian must have a Copiague Library card.

  • Children’s Library card: Birth to 5th Grade
    • A child Library card can only borrow children’s books. Children’s Library cards cannot borrow video games, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, or Playaways.
Accepted Photo IDs: Accepted Proof of Residency*:
NYS Driver License Any bill with your current address
NYS Non-driver Photo ID Bank statement
Photo passport Pay stub
Photo military ID

*Please note: must be dated within the last 60 days

You can print a Library card application form to complete and bring with you to the Circulation Desk.  Applicación para la tarjeta del biblioteca para adultos en español
Children under 18 years old can be added to their parent or guardians Library card application where indicated on the form.

Please note: To renew an expired Library card in-person, please bring one of the above accepted proofs of residency and your Library card to the Circulation Desk.

Local children’s authors are headed our way to meet their biggest fans! Kids can pick their brains about what it takes to write and illustrate books, plus take part in loads of fun activities all around the Library.
