resources available in the Long Island area. Available on line for maximum accessibility,
it provides individuals and organizations with easy access to current information about
health, human service and education agencies and programs. These are mostly private
non-profit or government sponsored public agencies and programs serving infants, children,
teens, adults, and senior citizens. Specific types of programs and services for persons
with disabilities, education and training opportunities, health facilities, hotlines,
housing and food pantries. |
|
The most accessible and detailed computerized directory currently available, the CRD is
user friendly and can be instantly searched by agency/program name, subject, keyword or
location and can be limited to geographic area, language or by combining search terms. The
index terms are based on Info Line Taxonomy of Human Services, the accepted national
standard of the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems. The CRD is comprehensive,
consistent, regularly and centrally updated and available nationwide. |
