The Library has free passes that patrons may check out for admission to local museums, gardens and attractions.

As museums and gardens begin to re-open in July, patrons will once again be able to reserve passes.
Check back often for updates to our list of passes available to reserve.

Empire Pass
Garvies Point Museum and Preserve
(Preserve is open. Museum is closed)
Old Westbury Gardens
(Grounds are open. Westbury House and gift shop are closed.)
Planting Fields
(Grounds are open. Main Greenhouse, Camellia Greenhouse, and Coe Hall are closed. Visitor parking lot is limited to 50%)
(Grounds are open. Mansion, Museum, and Planetarium are closed.)

Opening Soon:
Long Island Maritime Museum is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
(Visitors are required to answer a COVID questionnaire upon arrival. Masks are required to be worn at all times.
Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10AM to 4PM, Sundays from 12PM to 4PM.)
Cradle of Aviation is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, July 9, 2020.
(Limited exhibits. The Theater, Planetarium, Junior Jet Club, and Nunley’s Carousel are closed.
Cafe is open with limited light snacks and pre-packaged items.
All museum visitors over 2 years old are required to wear a face mask while in the museum.
Number of people allowed in museum is limited to 25% of maximum capacity for the foreseeable future.

Museum Pass Borrowing Rules
– Museum Passes may be reserved by Copiague Library adult cardholders in good standing.
– The pass may be reserved up to 3 months in advance of the desired date, subject to availability on a first come, first served basis.
– A particular pass may only be reserved once in any 30 day period.
– Patrons can reserve print-on-demand passes for any day the museum is open and can print from home at any time up to the day of their visit.
– Print-on-demand passes are valid only on the reservation date and do not need to be returned.
– Non print-on-demand passes must be picked up at the library the day before (after 3:00 pm) or the day of your reservation.
– Non print-on-demand passes must be returned by 12:00 PM at the Information Desk or in the library Audio Visual drop in its original case the day after use.
– Pass is on loan for two days and a $25 fine will be attached for each day the pass becomes overdue.
– Lost passes will incur a replacement fee of $40.
– Up to two museum passes may be checked out at a time.
– Each museum reserves the right to determine the rules and regulations governing the use of the pass.
