The library will be hosting a number of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Chasing The Moon – Sneak Preview

The Library will be screening a 40 minute sneak preview clip of “Chasing the Moon”, a new American Experience documentary about the Apollo space missions, premiering on WLIW July 8-10. Stop down and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Refreshments will be served.

Anniversary Celebration (401)

It has been 50 years since we first set foot on the moon. To celebrate we will play the footage of the moon landing at the same time the lunar module landed in 1969. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be photographed placing the American flag on the moon with the help of our green screen, make a moon craft and have a space worthy snack. This program is for all ages.
